Feeling drained trying to keep everything running smoothly?
And learn how to get your stress straightened out right now!
I use my Choices Journal for that!
It’s my all time favorite weapon against stress, frustration and the organizational messes I just can’t seem to prevent from happening.
Every time I walk around feeling “Mweh, this sucks, I don’t wanna….” or “Grrrr, did you hear what they did? Again?”, I grab my journal.
So what actually is a Choices Journal like CarlijnsChoice?
And how do you go about writing in such a way that it yields actionable insights every time you write?
I can fully imagine you having no idea how to start.
You’ve probably only ever tried:
“Dear diary, you’ll never guess what has happened to me today …”
Yeah, nobody loves a bore… Or a nag!
But I’m confident to say there’s a much more efficient and effective way of writing in a journal. And that’s by using a book!
A book, huh?
Heck yes! There are plenty of self-help books written for dealing with whatever problem you might just run into: Increase your confidence, Organize your space, Build your dreams. You name it, there’s a book for it! And they’re all jam-packed with questions, tests and exercises 😉
Let me explain how I use my Choises Journal.
I use it as a coat-rack. Instead of nagging about what’s wrong with my life or how other people don’t play nice, I use the questions in the self-help books to gain insight in my problems and find ways to solve them.
Like when I follow Julie Morgenstern’s SHED-method (Super book to get you to your next stage in life by releasing things that belong to the previous stage), it’s easy to figure out why it’s always such a mess in my house. And what I should work on to fix the mess.
So using a Choices Journal works like this:
- I create the Perfect Place
- I choose my Journal
- I pick my Time
- I determine my Method
- After a little while I evaluate if it’s working for me
You can learn any skill you need.
