My Personal Solution Plan to the rescue!
Imagine a time when… My youngest had to go to kindergarten and my oldest two had the day off from school. Luckily they had arranged a play date for themselves but what do you know, on opposite sides of the village.
Sounds good, only all three appointments were at the same time…
Somebody hadn’t been paying attention (oops, that’d be me…) because, well, you know, life with kids.
Now back in the day my response would’ve been the headless chicken kind.
But these days I stop and think about why I find myself running again. I then use my Personal Solution Plan to clear my head and figure out what to do.
I even use my Personal Solution Plan to prevent these kind of situations.
So what’s a Personal Solution Plan?
Now, you know I write in my Choices Journal. It’s perfect for getting my head screwed on right again after I’ve lost it or got overwhelmed or stressed out and stuff.
But my Personal Solution Plan is different.
It is a journal, of sorts, but with predefined questions that help me deal with screw ups and find solutions for them. And the best part is, they’re my solutions. Not some generic advice I find rehashed a thousand times on Pinterest.
Buy a planner. Use the cozy app.
Yeah, sure, sure…
I love nothing better than to get everybody out of the house and then curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee and my PSP. Writing always clears my head like nothing else and after I’m done I walk away with a clear image of what I’m gonna do.
My PSP gives me a truly unique to me solution because I came up with it. {big grin}
